Our values and culture

Our mission statement reflects the Company's evolution towards Wealth Management and reads:

"To be regarded as the most professional and trusted provider of advice on Wealth Management."

This requires us, together with the St. James's Place Partnership, to deliver all round performance to our mutual clients, encompassing: ‘Financial Advice You Can Trust', the quality of the service we deliver, and the return on investments. Our intention is to cultivate satisfied clients who will develop long-term, mutually profitable relationships with the Company and our Partners, and who will also act as ambassadors to other potential clients.

We are a people business and our people are our most important asset. We are all on first name terms. We want to work with like-minded people who have the same values, who enjoy working with others and who want to be of service to clients, potential clients and each other. Building relationships is key. We are committed to continual improvement and sustained profitable growth.

We work as a team, aiming to play to our strengths within the team. But we also recognise individuality and entrepreneurial spirit, rewarding achievers and their achievements. We treat all associated with the Company as individuals with a contribution to make. We value a ‘can do' mentality. In particular, in the pursuit of service, if we can find a way, without jeopardising efficiency, effectiveness and probity, we will. Even if we can't, we will endeavour to suggest an alternative.

We believe in being enthusiastic about our work. Each of us has a responsibility to motivate each other and to maintain an environment where everyone enjoys contributing. Far from being mutually exclusive, we believe that having fun and achieving goals, whether corporate or personal, go hand in hand. The same is true of friendliness and efficiency.

Finally, we believe in equity participation, which allows and encourages everyone to feel a sense of ownership and share in the Company's success.
